Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country

The boys cross country team notched  3 more wins against Fairfield  Spring grove and York Suburban.  Caleb Gatchell set a course record with a time of 17:07. Nick Mcabe was second. Josh Pardoe, Ethan Gatchell, and Nate Pardoe were all top ten finishers.

The Girls lost to a strong york suburburban team but cruised to victory over  Farifield and Spring Grove.  Amanda Wivell, Naomi Scharf and Julia Kendrick were the top finisher for the Lions.

The Cross country team traveled to Biglerville next to take on York Tech, York Catholic and The Canners.  Both the boys and girls teams won against all their competitors.

Individually, there were some much improved times in the girls race. Julia Kendrick took first overall with a time of 20:53, Amanda Wivell was second overall with a time of 21:16 and Naomi Scharf took third to complete the sweep for the girls with a time of 21:23.

In the boys race Caleb Gatchell came in first with a time of 16:59.  Nate Pardoe, Nick McCabe, Josh Pardoe, Ethan Gatchell and Andrew Erickson were all top ten to secure victory for the Lions.

The Cross Country team then hosted a five team home meet against Dallastown, West York, Bermudian Springs and Susquehannock. In the boys race, Caleb Gatchell led the Lions with a time of 17:11. Nick McCabe, Josh Pardoe and Nate Pardoe ran strong to seal the win for the Lions. The Boys improved there record to 10 win and 0 losses.

The Girls took the first three places in their race to secure the sweep for the Lions. Amanda Wivell, Naomi Scharf and Julia Kendrick ran outstanding races on our home turf to notch four wins, their record is now 9 and 1
Congrats goes out to the seniors on their hard work and dedication over the years. Thanks Seniors!

The Cross Country team traveled to the 20th annual Carlisle Invitational.  Caleb Gatchell brought home an 18th place trophy with his personal best time of 16:26. As a team the boys were 7th against a strong field of runners from New York, New Jersey, Maryland and PA. Congrats to the boys on their excellent racing. Way to go guys!

In the girls race Julia Kendrick led the way for the Lions with a personal best time of 20:26, good for 37th overall.  Amanda Wivell was 44th with a 20:42. The girls finished 11th overall in the elite race.  Nice Job girls, keep up the good work
