Things are
off and running in the choral music department. In the last few weeks, the Show
Choir and Madrigal Choirs have been auditioned and are now up and running. The
Mixed Chorus had their first rehearsal and the Concert Choir has been preparing
for their first concert on Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 PM. The
Concert Choir also received the honor of being selected to participate in the
Voices on Broadway Festival in New York City in mid March 2013. There they will
sing in a vocal clinic with some Broadway professionals, perform for adjudication,
and then perform Friday night in the finale of the Broadway musical “Mary
Poppins” with the Broadway cast in front of a live audience. What an
opportunity!
