PSAT Information.

Have you ever considered taking the PSAT's?  Here is some helpful information that will help you form your decision:

The PSAT provides you with the best preparation for the SAT Reasoning Test.  In addition, it is the entry point to compete for National Merit Scholarships including the National Achievement Program.  By taking the PSATs you are also able to gain personalized feedback on critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills, including suggestions for improvement on your SATs.

 

The PSAT is designed the same as the SAT with the exception of an essay assignment which does not appear on the PSAT.  The test lasts approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.  The PSAT is your BEST PREPARATION for the SAT – but please know, it is only offered ONCE each school year.

We are administering the PSATs here at Red Lion Area SHS on Saturday, October 20^th.  Again, this is the only testing date.  Cost for taking the PSATs is $22.  Registration for the PSATs is in the high school Guidance Office and you are able to pay for your registration by cash or check.  If paying by check, your check should be made payable to Red Lion Area School District.  Upon registering for the PSATs, you will be given a booklet to help with preparation for the test with sample questions and a link to the College Board website. 

 

Again, the only testing date for PSATs for this year is Saturday, October 20^th and the test will be administered here at Red Lion Area SHS.  Stop by the Guidance Office to register, with payment, at your earliest convenience.
