Focusing on Amazing Students
This year the English Department will highlight four amazing
students each month. Starting in October and continuing until the end of the
year, two English teachers will choose two students who show effort,
enthusiasm, stellar work, and or citizenship in their English classes. Each month two different English teachers
will choose students from their classes. These students will be honored in our
monthly blog, and we will specifically recognize why they were chosen. The students will also receive a certificate
of recognition, and their English teachers will hang their pictures on the
English bulletin board in the English wing.
The English department wants to make this year a celebration
of the students who show their amazing skills in our classes each day.
Look for our students of the month starting in October
(below is a list of the teachers who will be featuring two of their students by
month):
October: Mr. Marsala and Mr. Beatty
November: Mrs. Kelkis and Mrs. Mader
December: Mrs. Thiegs and Mrs. Mahan
January: Mrs. Yoder and Ms. Suppa
February: Ms. Gardinier and Mrs. Dennish
March: Mrs. Wolfe and Miss Bollinger
April: Mrs. Masser, Mrs. Ayala, and Mrs. Shultz
May: Students will be chosen from English electives
June: English Superstars (the top English students of the
year and students receiving English awards for the year).
