Our Lady Lion Field Hockey team remained unbeaten with their 1 - 0 victory of arch rival and perennial powerhouse Dallastown.
The Lions seemed to be sparked by the play of Erica Maciejewski, or maybe the non-play, as Erica was forced to sit out after receiving a card from the official. The teams were battling along in a 0 to 0 tie when Maciejewski received her penalty. Then with 2:23 remaining the Lion's were awarded a penalty corner and Ali Posey broke the scoreless tie when she found the back of the net on a rocket of a smash to clinch a 1-0 York-Adams League Division I field hockey victory over Dallastown.
Teammate Gabi Uberti made eight saves in goal to record the shutout victory.
With the win, Red Lion remains perfect in the division at 6-0-0 with 18 points, while Dallastown falls to 4-3-0 with 12 points.
The Field Hockey team's next game is Sept. 29th at 7:00pm on Horn Field. This is Senior Night so please come out and support the ladies as they continue attempt at an undefeated season and march to the playoffs!
