Red Lion Athletics
This Week in Red Lion Athletics...
Girls Basketball After losing to Dover last Monday (45-43), the Lady Lions were determined to bounce back. Losing to Dallastown previously this season, the Lions were scheduled to play them again... this time on the road. Battling to the final seconds, the Lady Lions came out on top this time winning by a 1 point margin (45-44). The week didn’t close there. Red Lion would play Boyertown in Red Lion’s showcase tournament, giving the Lady Lions another close win (47-44). The game vs. Central, which has been originally scheduled for this past Friday, has been post poned to this Wednesday (1/30). In addition to rescheduled Wednesday game, the team will be home Tuesday (New Oxford) and Friday (Southwestern). Friday is Senior Night.
Boys Basketball The team starts a new week comming off of 2 wins and 1 loss. Red Lion beat Dover earlier this past week (45-36), lost to Dallastown mid-week (62-56), and defeated Central York Saturday night in American Heart Association’s ‘Red-Out’ game (48-29). The team will be on the road Wednesday (Spring Grove) and Friday (Southwestern).
Wrestling The Wrestling team will compete on their own mats this week. They will take on Central York on Wednesday. Matches set to begin at 7:30 PM in the Ronald E. Abe Fitzkee Athletic Center.
Swimming Red Lion Swimming goes on the road on Thursday to take on Central York. Meet begins at 4:30 PM.
Competition Cheerleading Red Lion Competition Cheerleading earns first place in their competition they partook in over the weekend in Exeter.
