The Red Cross Club at the Senior High
conducted its 7th Annual Mock Accident Demonstration on Friday,
April 26th, for the senior class.
The purpose of the demonstration was done to remind seniors about the dangers and effects of
drinking and driving, especially during the Prom season. Emergency service providers from York Area
Regional Police, Red Lion Fire Department, Red Lion Ambulance, Dallastown Fire
Department, Yoe Ambulance, York Hospital Medic 97, York Hospital Trauma Services,
and Stat Medevac 13 along with the local businesses of Baker’s Garage and
Miller’s Excavating volunteered their time at no cost to the district for this
demonstration to occur. The high school Red
Cross Club appreciates the understanding, cooperation, and support of everyone
involved as it educated our senior class and worked to promote a Safe and
Alcohol Free Prom.
