Now that we
have had our end of year assembly, you are aware that we had another successful
mini-THON. I wanted to take a
moment to congratulate Misty and Eric Wilson, mini-THON student committee
members and everyone else who helped make mini-THON an amazing event for the
Red Lion Community.
There are so
many things about mini-THON that make it a great event, but what I believe is
so special about mini-THON is that for one evening, so many of our students
come together as a family to help fight childhood Cancer! Our students don’t let their
traditional circle of friends limit who they hang out with at mini-THON—the
students come together as one.
For those of
you who have attended a mini-THON, you know that it is an emotional night. It is a night filled with laughter, tears, more laughter, excitement, exhaustion--I could go on, but I couldn't do the night justice by trying to describe it in a blog post. Thanks to Megan Axe, I have some pictures that helped show what mini-THON was like for the over 350 people that were lucky enough to attend.
Every hour, students came together to do |
Would you voluntarily dress up in a velcro suit and stick yourself to a wall? |
Students volunteered to have their hair cut and donated to make wigs! |
